Having passed this, you will be licensed to ride any motorcycle straight away, ride on motorways and carry a passenger. You will need to do both Modules on this bike.
After you have obtained your CBT certificate, you will be entitled to ride any motorcycle or scooter up to cc. As a provisional licence holder a CBT will allow you to ride a learner legal motorcycle up to cc, but L-plates must be displayed and you cannot take passengers. Your CBT must be renewed every two years. A Medium Licence allows riders to take their test on a cc motorcycle, allowing them to ride any bike not exceeding 35kW.
Are there any bikes you can ride with just a car licence? Yes, if you have a full car licence you can ride a cc scooter or motorbike. You could take your motorcycle test at a younger age, but youll then be restricted to 33bhp. You cannot ride a bike larger than cc, on a CBT.
A restrictor kit should be about 50 I have seen an SV and a ducati with one fitted. I have passed my test - not just the CBT - so I can ride anything that is 33bhp or less.
Has anyone actually had it done?! Cheers, Simon. After, I think, two years you can legally de-restrict it without taking any further tests? Yup, that's quite right. In the mean time Looks like a call to a few dealers is required! Are you over 17? If so, cc is your max. Still doesnt stopping them being little bed boi racers with neon underglows and burberry.
Yay, getting my bike back tomorrow. Gazdaman wrote: Get a with the potential of more than the Makes you a criminal but stuff it! I am not sure if this is still the case. You would struggle to get insurance though. That's when things happen. That's when you find out everything you want to know. Before someone says "but if they crash into you you can't claim as they don't have insurance" any claims where you are not covered by your insurance are covered by the Motor Insurance Bureau who will sign the cheque just the same as a normal insurance company, but they then come knocking on the person who the claim was against asking for their expenses to be paid back.
Quote: I guess that makes alot of people in your mind one as I can think of very few people with a at Well pretty much all people on here who have or have had a whilst on a CBT havn't paid much attention to the Before , you could have ridden 33bhp bike at this stage, but since , you are restricted to a cc bike until you are 19 years old.
