I have used this oil on turbo cars for 20 years including cosworths and saabs and never had a problem - PS I also work in the turbo spares manufacturing industry. Most important is to change the oil.
The more you change it the better the engine will be. Halfords is just as good as anyone else. I would have to consider how often you intend to change it. On the green service lights this could be as much as 17, miles! Personally I would change it after 5 or 6k anyway, and would be happy to use Halford semi synth, as posted above, Halfords don't make the oil and if it meets the correct spec I'd use it.

I have used Halfords oil in various cars over the years with no ill effect. After all, Halfords don't make oil, they just buy it from someone else and re-brand it.
I had it suggested to me at one point that halfords fully synth was in fact an older formulation of Mobil 1, not sure if this is true, or still current, but it seems possible. Thanks for the info. Yes I'd read that Halfords is actually Mobil. Will probably go for that one then. In the Audi oil spec for fixed servicing was VW Things move on and Audi now recommend VW The Halfords oil may be perfectly ok but you will never know until its too late if it gives the same protection as the latest Castrol.
If you have a Costco up there, have a look in as they were selling 1Litre cans of Castrol Edge at a very good price Cheers Spike.
