Go watch good morning America or today. Gayle King is in charge!! Every time I've turned the show on in the past, I had to suffer through Gayle King butchering another story! How difficult is it to get facts and be knowledgeable about subject matter?? Not to mention, being politically unbiased! Gayle has a way to twist stories into an attack on Trump! Very sad and juvenial of her! I see where she is friends with Oprah and somehow she is in charge of the show now!
Not to mention a several million dollar raise! Better off throwing money away! If you can't trust the news why would trust the promos mherrity 6 February If you have to make an effort to promote your integrity in the news department there must be a reason.
It seems the source was anonymous and the supposed threatening quote was more of an interpeted paraphrase. What Trump said. Trump told Sec of State to scrutinize the vote.
This was one of the planks for the second impeachment hearings and CBS This Morning continuely report the unsubstaniated story. Today they have not retracted any inaccuracies. CBS is nothing but Tabloid trash. Not a bad show but for occupying such a crucial time slot, I'd like to see a more interesting set of hosts as well as far less commercials. Anthony is solid, Gayle comes across as a little under-informed and Tony is just shallow and uninteresting.
Now that she has left Gayle King seems to have risen, at least in her own mind, to running the show. I think she's a great interviewer and I think I'd like her as a friend, but I am so upset every time that she interrupts guests and even her coworkers! Sometimes I want to hear what they have to say and not just Gayle, talking over them.
Honestly I'd be very unhappy if I were them and I don't know how they stand it. They must have a lot of patience, that's all that I can say. It makes for very annoying viewing and it's gotten to the point where I don't care to watch anymore.
Probably the best news program in the morning. Serious news without a lot of the garbage and fluff on the other networks. But the awful Gayle King is the weak link. She constantly stumbles through the teleprompter, but the worst is when she interrupts Norah or John when they are questioning a guest. Everyone knows why she got the job. She's a wannabe journalist who happens to be BFF of the media goddess. She is clueless, and has no ad-lib, or interview skills.
Her false positivity, and school-marm like condescension is too much. How did gayle get her job? She's totally unqualified and out of place. DeadHeadCycler 15 February She constantly interrupts guests including Bill Gates and her own co-hosts.
She interrupted Bill Gates answer so that she could comment on Bill's question on February She feel she needs to Halt the Limelight with all these interruptions and inappropriate comments.
No fluff. No ridiculously rushed cooking segments. No disastrous crowds of people obnoxiously waving and dancing in the windows behind the anchors or the guest. CBS may have to be content with not being top in the ratings — at least for the immediate future — but it can still very well make money off that by delivering a certain type of viewer to advertisers. After all, even at some of its lowest points, the show still delivers at least a million viewers. Of course, finding that perfect blend of talent, content and look and feel that sits well with viewers and their morning coffee is an allusive elixir that, if ever distilled to something concrete, would be worth billions.
Seismic shifts in ratings as also require convincing people to change channels — no easy task for any network. Data from Nielsen, for example, shows that, on October 31, Face the Nation was the 1 Sunday morning show in its category. It also earned top marks for both total viewers 2. The show celebrates its 67th anniversary on Sunday, In an interview with me ahead of the 67th anniversary episode on Sunday, Brennan opened up about how she works behind the scenes, the state of journalism today — and her deceptively simple formula for Face the Nation.
I think people are looking for that. I think people are looking for information they can trust. That starts with corralling newsmakers and a sampling of the biggest players influencing national and world events. Why haven't the ports, why haven't the truckers, why hasn't this become unstuck?
